Best CS2 Mirage T-side smokes: a brief practical shortlist
Short thesis
For most T-side Mirage rounds, prioritize five smokes in this order: Mid Window, Top Connector, CT/Ticket, Stairs, and Jungle/Connector. Add Market Window + Market Door only for committed B hits. This set gives the highest round-to-round value because it either wins mid information safely or removes the main A/B retake sightlines.
Core smoke package
- Mid Window smoke — highest-default value. It blocks the CT AWPer and cat/connector information early, enabling mid split pressure instead of gambling into dry peeks.
- Top Connector smoke — pairs with Window for mid control. BLAST describes it as strong for forcing CTs out of key map space, popping through as it fades, or moving toward Short with reduced backstab risk.
- CT/Ticket smoke for A — required for most A executes. It cuts the longest rotator/retake angle and makes Palace/Ramp scaling possible.
- Stairs smoke for A — removes the most stable A-site rifler angle; use with CT/Ticket so the entry pack is not crossfired from both Stairs and ticket.
- Jungle/Connector smoke for A — closes the connector/jungle rotate and completes the standard A execute wall.
- Market Window + Market Door for B — the B-site equivalent of the A execute wall. Throw both for B rushes/splits so Market rotators cannot freely trade from window/door.
Recommended T-side usage
- Default / mid control: Window + Top Connector first. If your team only learns two smokes, learn these plus CT/Ticket.
- A execute: CT/Ticket + Stairs + Jungle/Connector. Add flashes over A and molly default/under balcony; without flashes, the smokes hide you but do not clear close site.
- B execute: Market Window + Market Door. Consider delaying one smoke if you expect a fast CT retake through Market, but for a rush both together are simplest.
- Low-buy option: One CT/Ticket smoke can support a Palace waterfall or contact A pop, but it is weaker than the full three-smoke A wall.
Caveats
Lineups change less often than grenade priorities, but CS2 subtick, jump-throw consistency, and map micro-adjustments can make old CS:GO pixels unreliable. Verify each lineup offline before using it in Premier. Also, "best" depends on spawn and call: fast Window from spawn is different from a safe delayed Window smoke.
